Andy working on a project

I'm Andy, a Northumberland-based senior frontend developer at Northumberland County Council. I care about accessible systems, tidy frontend patterns, and fixing the awkward bits that slow public sector teams down.

I got into code by pulling apart websites in the late 90s and never really stopped. These days I'm also working through a Masters in Strategic Leadership, parenting three kids, and fitting in solo travel when I can.

I'm building EmilyUI, a CSS Audit Tool, and a Content Clarity Checker. You can follow the progress on the tools page. I'm also slowly building Longbenton95, a point and click adventure game set in the North East in the mid 90s.
